Growing Up Baking

Ever since being tall enough to reach the kitchen counter, I have been wonderfully curious about food and all things culinary. I regularly experimented and loved nothing more than whipping up something new, unusual and delicious!

Both my Mum and my Grandma helped me along this path by being patient and allowing me to be creative in their kitchens, despite some mishaps and accidents!

The Great Irish Bake Off

When I grew a little older, my entrepreneurial spirit intervened and I started selling my butterfly cakes and tarts at a local craft fair. This allowed me to turn my passion into a small business.

Cut to 2013, I was living and working in Dublin City. I was hosting a dinner party for my friends and someone suggested I apply for The Great Irish Bake Off. I dismissed it immediately, but thinking about it later I decided to go for it and sent in an application. As I flew past every interview stage I started to think that being a TV star could be a reality!

Mud Bakery

2014 saw me battle it out in the bake off tent to come runner up. It is an achievement I am extremely proud of to this day! After the hype of the show calmed down, I decided to establish MUD, my little baking business.

We now supply restaurants and coffee shops around Dublin with fresh, delicious brownies, traybakes and cheesecakes to be enjoyed by the masses!
